Whether you're reconnecting with old colleagues or making new ones, the Welcome Reception will set the tone for an exciting and enriching conference experience. We look forward to seeing you there!
09.07. Science speed dating
WHAT: This event will involve a series of short conversations in an informal setting between early-career and senior-level scientists during 30 min coffee breaks on day 2 of the IOP 2025 conference.
AIM: This event will aim to foster future collaboration between those who might be looking for a post-doc, expanding their international collaboration, or gaining new experince outside of their home laboratory (e.g., in a form of short-term self-funded research visits, exchange grants etc.).
HOW: Please specify during registration if you are interested in participating in this event. We will divide interested participants into two groups: senior researchers (those who have held a PhD for at least four years at the time of the event) and early-career researchers (recent PhD graduates or PhD candidates in the final stages of their studies).
Once registration closes, both early-career and senior researchers will receive a short questionnaire about their research interests, methods, and collaboration goals. Based on these responses, participants will be matched for individual conversations during the Science Speed Dating event.
09.07. Student social
On the second day of the IOP 2025 conference, student social will be held in the Bracka 4 pub, which is located 1 km from the conference venue and 100 m from the Main Square.
10.07. Conference dinner
Included only in the Upgraded fee
On the third day of the IOP 2025 conference, the conference dinner will be held at the conference venue. If you would like to participate in this event, choose the Upgraded fee, the Standard fee does not include ticket to this event.
Krakow Walking Tour

Itinerary: Planty Park, walk to the foot of the Wawel Hill, explanation of its most important historic monuments: the Royal Cathedral and the Wawel Castle, walk along the streets of the Old Town (Kanonicza Street, parts of the Royal Route), Archbishops Palace, University District – the oldest colleges of the Jagiellonian University, Main Market Square with landmarks of Krakow, like Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) and St. Mary's Basilica.
