Submission is now OPEN

Abstract Submission

All accepted abstracts will be published in the International Journal of Psychophysiology Congress Proceedings, which will be distributed to all registered participants at IOP 2025 and will be electronically published on ScienceDirect (Elsevier) with separate digital object identifiers (DOI).
It is not required to register for IOP 2025 prior to submitting an abstract. However, if your abstract is accepted, the presenting author must register for the conference before April 15, 2025.

Symposia submission guidelines

The symposia sessions are planned as 1.5h blocks with four presentations, 20 min each. Symposium title is limited to 120 characters, while the word limit for each presentation is 300 words. Please provide also the presenting authors and their affiliations. One to five symposia keywords are also required. To submit a symposium, please use the template file that can be downloaded once you log in to the submission system. Symposia submission deadline is February 28, 2025.

All speakers are kindly asked to arrive at the lecture hall at least 15 minutes before the session to upload their presentation to the main computer. The preferred file format is .ppt(x). Please bring your presentation saved on a USB flash drive.

Each talk should last 20 minutes, followed by 2–3 minutes for questions. We kindly ask all presenters to adhere to these time limits.

Poster submission guidelines

The title of the poster is limited to 120 characters, while the abstract can contain up to 300 words (exclusing title, authors, and affiliations). The abstract should conscisely describe an introduction, methods and results of the study, as well as a conclusion. These sections, however, do not need to be explicitly labeled. Please include sufficiently detailed descriptions of the methods and the results. Submissions of planned and not yet (at least partly) concluded research are not accepted. Poster submission deadline is March 16, 2025.

Student (BA, MA, PhD) IOP member posters will be eligible for Best Poster Award.
Please indicate during registration if you would like to be considered for this award.

All poster presenters are requested to prepare their posters in A0 size (approximately 85 cm × 120 cm) in a vertical (portrait) orientation. The poster board size is 250 cm (height) and 100 cm (width). You will find your session number and a unique poster number in the Book of Abstracts (which will be available on our website). All poster sessions will take place in the Exhibition Room. Stickers will be provided by the conference staff. Please dismantle your poster after your session to free up space for the next session.

Single talk guidelines

If you would like to give a single talk, please make a poster submission in the registration system, indicating your preferred form of presentation (poster or single talk). If the Scientific Program Committee will accept your submission as a single talk, it will be included in an open topic symposium.

Abstract Review Process

The IOP 2025 Scientific Program and Local Organizing Committees will review each abstract. The Committees expect high quality submissions. Abstract acceptance will be strictly based on scientific content. Abstracts that are unethical, incomplete, contain insufficient information, or report studies that have not been completed, cannot be accepted.

Depending on the number of acceptable high-quality symposia, some poster presenters may be invited by the Scientific Program Committee to present their work in oral sessions. Likewise, some symposia may be invited to be transformed into poster presentations.
